December 10 was a memorable day not only for ABC, but for Burundians everywhere…
Indeed, the Montreal Holocaust Museum co-hosted an event celebrating human rights with the theme of crimes against humanity perpetrated since 2015 in Burundi.
Ketty Nivyabandi was the guest speaker in a discussion moderated by the Alliance des Burundais du Canada. Her poignant testimony, following a guided tour of the Holocaust exhibition, opened the minds of our fellow Canadians present. But most miraculous of all was the frank and sincere dialogue that followed with the orphans of ’72, following one of their interventions.
Today, on Human Rights Day, ABC is delighted to have contributed to raising awareness among Canadians and Burundians alike, and to have gained a new partner in our fight for human rights in Burundi. Thank you Montreal Holocaust Museum.
