Hi, ABC Humanitarian Project would like to thank you for your tremendous help in supporting Burundians Refugees. Please allow us to come back to the timeline that this action took: from May 2016 to September 2016, we have collected generous donations from all of you: clothes, shoes, blankets, bags and money to help with transportation. From September 2016 to November 2016 we transported those donations from Ottawa to Montreal where they were sorted out and pre-packed as ballots. On November 25, 2016, a 40-foot container that we shared with a Burundian Association from Montreal called Ma voix pour mes soeurs, MVPS, left Montreal harbor to arrive in Kigali (Rwanda) the final destination on January 31, 2017. It wasn’t until June 28, 2017 that our donations were finally distributed to our compatriots in Rwanda at the Mahama camps. The total cost for this action was ‘Eleven thousand seven hundred and four cents’, $11,700.04 CDN. The journey of our action has been long and full of obstacles that were out of our control. However, we want to reassure you and testify that your great generosity will remain forever engraved in the hearts of our brothers and sisters who are refugees in Mahama. Today a refugee is wearing either a shirt or a dress that not only protects him/her from the cold but above all restores his/her dignity. In the appendix, you will find some pictures that illustrate your good action. We hope you will feel as proud as we are of the gesture we have made together in 2017.
